Call for Papers

Call for Papers — The 22nd National Conference on Pervasive Computing (PCC 2026)

About PCC

Since the concept of Ubiquitous Computing was proposed in the early 1990s, its pursuit has been more than "more devices and wider connectivity" — it aims at human-centered, pervasive convenience: bringing perception and computing into the physical environment like infrastructure, available everywhere and at any time, adaptively serving individuals, society, and industry in real contexts. Over three decades, pervasive computing has evolved into a new sensing-computing paradigm for the open world, enabled by diverse sensors, multimodal perception, mobile and edge intelligence, intelligent agents, 5G & beyond networks, and embedded hardware.

HMCC 2026 & HHME 2026 will be held from August 14–17, 2026 in Changsha, Hunan, China (Aug. 14: all-day registration; Aug. 15–17: main sessions). The conference is hosted by CCF, co-organized by the CCF Technical Committees on HCI, Pervasive Computing, and Collaborative Computing. It provides a platform to share the latest research, envision trends, and foster industry-academia-research collaboration.

PCC 2026 will be held as part of HMCC 2026/HHME 2026. To ensure paper quality, submissions will be rigorously reviewed. Accepted original English papers will be published in Springer proceedings (EI indexed). Outstanding papers may be recommended to CCF Transactions on Pervasive Computing and Interaction (CCF B-class) and other journals.

Topics of Interest

Topics include but are not limited to:

  • Pervasive computing theory and models
  • Human-centered pervasive computing applications
  • Context-aware computing models and methods
  • Mobile & edge sensing computing systems
  • Pervasive computing devices and network protocols
  • Novel intelligent sensing (wireless, multimodal, bio, quantum, etc.)
  • High-value data, novel representation models, bio-inspired and embodied intelligence for pervasive computing

Submission Types

1. Regular papers (long/short):

Accepted in Chinese and English. Long papers: 8–10 pages; short papers: 4–6 pages. Chinese papers use the template of Chinese Journal of Computers; English papers use the Springer conference paper Word or LaTeX template.

2. Extended abstract papers:

Accepted in Chinese and English (1 page). Authors may submit the full paper by June 30 after initial submission.

3. Exchange papers:

Collecting recent works published by domestic researchers at top venues such as ACM UbiComp/IMWUT, ACM MobiCom, ACM MobiSys, ACM SenSys, IEEE PerCom, JSAC, TMC, TON, etc. Authors present as Oral or Poster. Upload the accepted/published paper in the submission system and select "Exchange Paper".
